Naughty Pub Walk - June 2009 Event

Check out the Birthday Girl's (Pat in the middle) red B-Hat!

And naughty it was...
...the tales we were told, is what I mean.

We learned the social secrets of politics, pubs and history.

We started the evening with dinner at D'Arcy McGee's, followed by the Naughty Pub Walk of Parliament and Byward Market areas.

A quick stop at the Duke of Sussex Pub en route as shown above, and the evening ended to our amazement and interest.

It was a great evening.

Stanley's Olde Maple Lane Farm - Sugar Bush Tour

It was a beautiful day, and we got to meet some of our sisters in Red Hats, The Optimistic Red Hatters, who were the hosts to our event as one of their chapterettes works here. We all had a fanatistic pancake breakfast serviced in a gorgeous hall, of course maple syrup on every table. After we all went on the wagon ride through the bush, and then got taffy on snow, yum. Stanley's Olde Maple Farm of Metcalfe is open all year round, for weddings, group gathering, etc. check it out http://www.stanleysfarm.com/ We were very lucky to get a personalized tour with the Stanley's themselves. Thanks Optimistic Red Hatters (what a great up-beat name!!!) we really enjoyed it all.

August, September, October, November & December 2008

So I'm doing some catching up here, as I was in the midst of getting ready to retire, figuring out my new camera and my new computer, so I've got it all together now, so here goes....

August @ the NAC's outdoor patio of Le Cafe restaurant was wonderful sitting beside the Canal on a beautiful, breezy Sunday summer afternoon, eating great food with great friends.

Our Annual Pot-Luck Garden Party....

as usual held at Danie's (our superb Red Hat hostess, thanks again Danie), was a delicious spread of food. Boy we do like to eat, don't we? and laugh, for sure. Unfortunately, like most of the summer of '08, it was raining, so we had to take it indoors, here are the pics...

October 28, 2008 - Red Hat Night at the Races

We all had a blast at the race track, an annual event where over 400 Red Hatters get together to eat, gamble and bet, what a combo...girls do have to have fun, right? We had race no.7 dedicated to the Rideau River Reds and our picture taken with the winner in the winner's circle. We enjoyed a huge buffet dinner and the slots even produced a winner or two too!!!

Okay I'm getting too pooped to type, but stay tuned as I still have more pics to add to:
November, 2008 - Lunch at the Tea Biscuit tea room in Metcalfe, very different, very good, delicious tea selection.
and
December - Christmas dinner and gift exchange at Minestone's @ Pinecrest. It was absolutely mouth watering!!! I was very impressed with the restaurant.
Good, I've almost finished my Queenly homework, in catching-up.
Red Hatting Rules!!!!!

The others are coming, as soon as I can remember where I put that cable!!!hmmm

Okay, got it!!! and here we are eating our famous BeaverTails.
